Shower drains: linear and square

Buying guide

• A linear drain runs along one wall or the shower entry, so the floor slopes one way and can take large-format tile. A square centre drain needs the floor sloped from all four sides.
• Tile-in drains hold a strip of your floor tile in the grate, so the drain nearly disappears.
• Check the drain outlet against your waste pipe size before ordering, and set it with the right tile mortar.
